Thanks again Henrik......Your guidance in my music exploration and discovery is like the most amazing thing for me .... It is very enriching. Thanks to you, my music knowledge is growing and improving tremendously. I obviously have the same music taste as yours, since I still have not found any of the songs that you have composed or listed in your most listened albums that I have not liked myself.....What I don't have is the tremendous expertise that you have in this particular. So, I appreciate all your input in regards to the great music that is out there. It is quite possible that you cannot say the same about my music selection though...hahaha!!!.....Because, besides liking the same music you like, I also have some really "out of Space" songs that I also like very much. These are those from my native country Nicaragua. They play music with instruments that were used in the time of the native indians "Mayans".....such as Marimba, Maracas, and some other types of instruments that have never been seen before outside Nicaragua, LOL!!.....Who knows...You might find them interesting, after all... ....This is Folk music from my country, but I grew up listening to them and they have great sentimental value to me. They are very lively and I know how to dance to their tunes..hehe ;D ;D (This gave me an idea for a good Topic in this Forum.... !!!!) Thanks again Henrik!!! I feel very fortunate to have the chance to read your suggestions. And I think that many of our friends here can also derive great benefits from them, as well. You are a super cool Composer, Guitarist, Singer (I think you have a great voice...I can recognize your vocals in the songs now) Cheers!!! Lily If you want to make a slow start I can reduce this list to my all time favourites and hardrock essentials without whom my love for music had made a much different turn. Rainbow-Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow -Rising -Long Live Rock n' Roll Deep Purple-Perfect Strangers -Machine Head Cool Henrik!!....I always enjoy reading your recommendations on music. I will definitely make a note of all of them. Thank you!! Lily

You should... no must(!), do that. CHESS is one of my all time favorites as well. I can't imagine u would do less than love it. Amazing songs, arrangements and vocals. It's written by Benny, Björn and... Sir Tim Rice. Great arrangements by Anders Eljas. Many good vocalists (Elaine Paige amongst others), but a special mention to (in my opinion) one of the best vocalist in the world - Tommy Körberg. If you take 50 % Ronnie Dio and 50 % Tommy Körberg you are very close to someone I'd call the ultimate vocalist. Also performing on CHESS is Sweden's Ian Anderson - Björn J:son Lindh on flute. You might remember the intro to the radio hit One Night In Bangkok from CHESS. Drums and bass are performed by Per Lindvall and Rutger Gunnarsson (also on many ABBA albums). I could probably go on and on about this album... But if you decide to get it, don't get some 'Highlights from CHESS' or other obscure version. Do yourself a favor and get the real deal. This is how it should look like (even though Amazon seems to have misspelled some of the songs): www.amazon.com/Chess-1986-London-Concept-Cast/dp/B000002GLRCHEERS! Henrik PS If you like it I have some other highly interesting album recommendations for you ABBA is great!! I love all the songs I have heard from them. That is why I had my little ballerina illustrating my happy emotions of the moment as I was I listening to ABBA. Their songs made me feel like dancing...They always do. About the musical CHESS from ABBA....I had not really heard about it....and I am ashamed for it, since I have been a follower of of them myself for quite some time. After you mentioned it, I made some research and I found the reviews about this musical. It sounds incredible!! Thanks for mentioning this to me. I will "definitely"....go look for that Album, like "tomorrow".....I love musicals myself. I have gone to theaters since I was a little girl to watch them with my entire family. Thanks Henrik!! I truly appreciate your suggestions...I wouldn't have found out about this one if it wasn't for you. Tusind Tak!! You can never go wrong with ABBA. Btw, have you ever heard their first musical - CHESS?

Don't be so sure I wouldn't appreciate the native Nicaraguan tunes . I like a lot of folk music, and not only Swedish. Even though I'm kind of a periodic music consumer - I enjoy hearing new stuff. Always feel free to suggest cool music to hear. Sooner or later I will . CHEERS! I know you would find appreciation in the Nicaraguan Folk sounds Henrik....I have not doubt about that. I am sure you will find it quite unusual too, but I know that regardless of how unusual those sounds might be to you, you will find something of great interest in them......and in their peculiar instruments. I know many Peruvian songs that are actually quite beautiful, and I am sure you would find them equally delightful..... One of those songs is called "El Condor Pasa". ====================================== El Cóndor Pasa is a Peruvian zarzuela, or musical play. The music was composed in 1933 by Daniel Alomía Robles and the libretto by Julio Baudouin under the pseudonym Julio de La Paz. The story is set in a mine in Cerro de Pasco, and deals with a tragic conflict between indians and "sajones" (saxons), their European bosses. The exploitative Mr King, owner of the mine, is killed by Higinio, but is soon replaced by another owner, Mr Cup, and the fight continues. The condor of the title symbolises the ideal of freedom. The song appears in the finale. Originally it was wordless. The tune is a cashua, a kind of Andean dance similar to a huaino. It was inspired by traditional Andean songs. The words are in Quechua, the language of the Inca Empire which is still spoken by the indigenous people of Peru. The singer calls on the mighty condor of the Andes to take him back to the old Inca kingdom of Machu Picchu. =========== Take care, Lily Don't be so sure I wouldn't appreciate the native Nicaraguan tunes . I like a lot of folk music, and not only Swedish. Even though I'm kind of a periodic music consumer - I enjoy hearing new stuff. Always feel free to suggest cool music to hear. I know the song El Cóndor Pasa pretty well actually :-) It's quite famous in these parts of the world also. In the summer there are often South American musicians playing on the town square in Copenhagen (I can also recall it from Stockholm when I lived there) and they usually include that song in their repertoire. But thanx a lot for the story behind the music. It adds an extra dimension to it. CHEERS!
