Hey Lily!I sure would like to see NC some day. Since I got to know you I have Googled it a couple of times to check it out and it really looks as green as you say. A good place to be Grøn :-) I will check out Stephen’s music later. I know all about his situation because I’ve been exactly where he’s at. It’s really wise of him to learn as much as possible about other instruments. This makes things a lot easier when he’s orchestrating music for his band. And I can certainly see why he’s doing full productions on his own. No point waiting for others to get going since he obviously has more drive then the rest. It’s also a priceless learning experience to perform the tasks of a full production chain alone. Not because someone has ever a chance to master it all to perfection, but to get to see how it's done and to get better understanding for the workflow. I still do all pre productions on my own to better be able to present new material for the others. The better pre production, the easier it is to make the vision come alive. Life in Rocky Mount seems great. Speak later and good night/morning. Henrik Thanks Henrik...About my place and North Carolina.....There is so much green around here(including me!! hehe). Rocky Mount is not quite populated yet. So there is plenty of open land everywhere. It is sort of nice here, since we still live pretty much in the wilderness, sharing our backyards with deer, rabbits, squirrels, opposums......etc, etc...;D ;D About Stephen, Thanks for your message for him. I will pass it along. He has a myspace site but those songs in his site are not really his best songs, and as I said, he makes his own mixing and recordings of his songs, therefore the quality is as professional as a CD made only by the 18-19 years old young man that he is, with no professional training at all. His band (which is pretty much non-existent anymore, after their drummer decided to go away with a Death Metal group) is called "The Lesson", which is in my top list in myspace. Or I can place it here as well: www.myspace.com/thelessonpage Every sound all vocals and all the mixing and recording was done entirely by himself in those particular songs....so be aware that it will have many things that will need a lot of polishing, since he is still in the learning process....as you saw the question he placed to Dennis through me....Always trying to learn all these things to have better sounds in his recordings, since he has to play them all. His songs are in the Accoustic/Rock/something genre, as of this moment, but he has been thinking in creating a complete different band and heading in a total new and different direction this time around. We'll see...He has a lot of good ideas and lots of songs ready to be put to the test, but he is basically flying "solo" in a way, even though his Bass man, who is a good friend of his, still gets together with Stephen to jam and sometimes they play, or I should say "jam" ;D at the local Cyber Cafe and just have plain fun playing whatever comes to mind...sort of improvising and getting the crowd involved in the process...They are sort of comedians as well as musicians, so they put a show one way or another...hahahaha This is life in Rocky Mount.... ;D ;D ;D Thanks Henrik. Your kindness is always very much appreciated . Take care, Lily WOW!!! You have one of the nicest places I've seen in a long time - and probably one of the luckiest sons in the world. How cool is that to have his own recording studio at his parental home? All thanx to coincidental advantages deriving from necessary defensive actions because of a dangerously neighbouring golf course. Btw... tell him 'hi' and that I look forward to hear some of his music one day. CHEERS! Henrik [/quot

Well Henrik...."Mi casa su casa" (My home is your home). You will always be very welcome here.!!! Rocky Mount is just a tiny little dot in the map of the USA, but everybody in this town carries a guitar with them. Lots of love for music around here. Lots of open mic. nights at "Java Mott's" cafe, which is basically a musician's gathering place. Very relaxed atmosphere and everybody pretty much looks happy. ;D So Henrik.....Come over to our "HAPPY" little place called Rocky Mount. It is not fancy, but it is cozy. About Stephen...I think he is at this point in time pretty much stuck in stage number "1" in his band's development.....He has lots of material to display, but he has not really been able to find the perfect group to support this development. He had a very good group at one time, but then....they all went their different ways...They graduated from High-School and went away to other colleges themselves.... So, basically, as you say, he has found himself orchestrating his own music and songs...He even put an entire CD together, but it still needs a lot of polishing. He is still looking for band members, and hopes to find not just good musicians but also those who will get along well as a team. He found that to be a "key" element to make this band a success. He still gets together with the Bass man, which, by the way......He has registered to this Forum also. We'll see...He has so many things going on right now, but he is hopeful that one of these days he will have his full band all together and ready to rock again!!! :-) Thanks Henrik.

Hey Lily!Thanx for the invite. I might actually pick you up on that offer one day. Beware!!! :-) I couldn’t agree more about the importance of surrounding you with the right people in a band. If you’re on too different wavelengths - you’re doomed to fail with that lineup, no matter how good the musical skills are. And yes, I see he’s joined the forum. Great! CHEERS! ~Lily~

Hi guys, Here is a picture I just took, about 1/2 hour ago......It is the first sign of Spring in my side of the world. This is the back of my house, showing the Pear tree which is blooming with its beautiful white flowers. The temperature is just perfect, nice and sunny and at a 77.5 Farenheith, which I don't know the meaning in Celcius....I just know it is nice and warm. I hope you are having some nice weather too, wherever you are. Take care, Lily ;-)

This looks nice! 77,5 Fahrenheit is 25,3 Celsius (which is basically as good as summer in Denmark gets... when it's good). Sounds perfect :-). We're around 10-15 C/50-59 F these days, but still feels pretty good compared to only last month. Don't know much about the weather (fine I think)... I'm working indoors - and when I get out, it's usually... night. CHEERS! Hi Henrik...Haha!! Thanks for the link where I will be able to translate Fahrenheits into Celsius......This is very good for me since I always find myself in this same exact circumstances, where I am trying to figure out what is what, and never seem to know....I will bookmark it because I know I will need it again. I guess during the winter months is not too bad not to see the outdoors, but I hope that during spring and summer you allow yourself a little outing during the beautiful sunny and warm days......
