Album version), Child in Time, Strange Kind of Woman, Fireball, Demon's Eye, Highway Star, Smoke On the Water, Space Truckin', Woman From Tokyo, Burn, Stormbringer, Knocking At Your Back Door. Lily ;D

I bought 2 CDs yesterday.....Only one of those are from what had been recommended here (Henrik). I had a long list with me, but this one was the only I was able to find from those recommended.
Queen - A Night At The Opera
Dio - Greatest Hits (Some of the songs are: Stand Up and Shout, Holy Diver, Rainbow in The Dark, etc, etc.....) I had never bought or heard from Dio before, so I hope I like it....
Ciao, C'ya later.....

Yeah, now we're talking!!! ;D Can't Let You Go, Street Of Dreams, Kill The King, Mistreated, Sixteenth Century Greensleeves, Catch the Rainbow, Long Live Rock'N'Roll, Man of The Silver Mountain & Still I'm Sad are all favorites of mine as well. If you're looking for more Rainbow (and don't have it already) I might suggest their 3 first studio albums (with DIO on vocals): Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Rising & Long Live Rock 'n Roll. But you shouldn't let all my recommendations ruin you. I could easily cause an economical disaster. Hahahaha.... But all respect in the world to people like you who actually buy the Cd's and support the artists. CHEERS! Henrik Forgot to mention 2 more recently bought CDs 1. Wow... your Cd collection is soon one of the best there is :-) I don't even know where to start to tell how great I think "A Night At The Opera" is. I think that if you can only have one Queen album... that's the one. I'm surprised you weren't familiar with Ronnie James Dio before. To me he's as legendary as any of history's all time great ones. But I feel lucky for you to be able to find such huge back catalog of greatness for the first time. If it wasn't for DIO, I don't think metal would sound as we know it today. He made his first albums in the late 60's... got more famous with the band Elf..... who played opening act for Deep Purple in the mid 70's and were produced by DP's Roger Glover.... which led to that Ritchie Blackmore got to know about Ronnie Dio as the lead singer in Elf.... so he asked the whole band (except the guitarist) to record his solo album with him.... that ended up being the band Rainbow's first album... he later changed the complete line up (except for Dio) in for the second album.... and they made 3 albums with Dio.... then Dio left Rainbow and joined Black Sabbath (to replace Ozzy Osbourne) where he did 2 great albums "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules".... before he convinced the drummer to come with him and play for the new band... DIO. And that's the very short story about the little man with the huge voice. Even though I'm not a big fan of Greatest Hits albums (I prefer the original ones) I think sometimes they can be a good introduction to a new artist and make one wanna check out the albums later. Anyway... I'm sure it's a kick ass collection cd you got judging from the songs you mentioned. I like them all! Better stop writing.... NOW. CHEERS! Yes Henrik, I have always loved Rainbow....I just had not been able to find their CDs here, but I went to a music store in a nearby city where they have better and bigger stores for music and when I saw (finally) 2 Rainbow CDs I just grabbed them super fast.....I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I had bought 2 great CDs from them. But really.....I always knew that I was going to be happy even if I didn't know which songs were in them, because I have liked all of the songs I had heard from them before. And....their Albums were in my list of the" Most Wanted CDs" to be purchased. And YES!!!!!, I truly believe in "supporting" the Artists who write all those beautiful songs for us by means of purchasing their Albums. I actually go through a lot of pain and struggle to find them for purchase, but I rather wait until I find them rather than downloading them for free somewhere. Except when the Artist themselves have made them available for download and invites the listeners to do so, and even if I do it in that case, I still go and buy their CDs later on when they become available. I strongly believe that I owe my support to those who are providing me with something I consider very important in my life. Without music, life would not be the same for me. The world revolves around music, and who are the ones responsible for that wonderful force? Shouldn't we want to support those who bring such magic to us? We owe the Artists a big "THANKS" for the music that you bring to us........And I truly believe that the best way to show our appreciation is by purchasing your music, so that you can have the necessary means to continue creating and bringing your music to us. Cheers!! Henrik....one more thing I forgot to say in my previous post....... Don't be worried about causing a possible financial ruin to me with your recommendations on music........I cannot think of a better or worthier way of going into monetary ruin, than because adquiring such a wealth in music albums based on your most valuable recommendations. Plus, at the rate I am buying CDs I will probably end up in ruin any ways, except that with your advise, at least I will have an excellent K...A. collection, instead of a 1/2 K...A....collection with music chosen solely by me....Hahaha!!!! LOL!!!!
Take care....and thanks so much...again, and again....You are great!!!!

Hi Henrik....Yeah...I know....DIO is a name that shamefully enough I was not yet acquainted with due to the fact that I just basically started to learn all about the Artists behind the music until just recently. I am still very new at this, but I am learning very quickly and with such valuable help as yours, supplying me with such wealth of great information, (I love it!!!) about the musicians background and their progress through their music career, it is becoming a tremendous help for me toward my own improvement in this field, and which is one that I truly love being able to have. I am delighted with all the information you are giving me and I thank you profusely for it. I love learning all that there is to learn about all these groups and their Artists, since it gives me a better understnding and greater appreciation for the music they play. It also helps me to enjoy the songs with greater intensity when I know everything that there is to know about the group. It was fascinating to learn about DIO through you. I actually have another recently bought CD from them called Holy Diver (Live). This Album comes with 2 CDs. I also much rather buy the original Albums instead of the Greatest Hits, but where I live, most of the time those are the only ones you can find available for many groups. .......... .... Some times I recognize one or two of the tracks written in the cover and I remember them having been mentioned here in the forum.....which entices me to buy them since I want to know what is their sound. But, definitely, if I can find the originals, that is what I'd rather go for. I am now getting much more knowledgeable about the best music and Artists that there are in existance.....I feel that thanks to you I have made a gigantic step in my music education. WOW!! Thanks Henrik!!! ;D ;D ;D Cheers!! Lily Wow... your Cd collection is soon one of the best there is :-) I don't even know where to start to tell how great I think "A Night At The Opera" is. Lily
